Helvetia Half Marathon

I surivived...just barely! But the best part was I wasn't alone. 4500 other crazy Oregonians were there suffering through the 10K or Half. At least 18 friends from our wards (past & present) there. As we crossed the finish line in the stadium they called our names and gave everyone medals & a Jamba Juice. Then we had yummy hamburgers at the end & a technical running T-shirt. What a fun event!

I got lots of sympathy from my family & kudoos all around. I did it! I really did it! I ran the whole thing (minus a 1/4 mile when my knee hurt too bad) and came in just under 2 1/2 hours. (Slow but certainly not the slowest!)
Here are some pics of me on the big day...not pretty, but proof.
The news was out for the big event too: here is a link to some photos.
(This guy was apparently at the very end with the walkers!)

Wow! I am quite impressed! I don't think I could ever do that. You look gorgeous by the way:) Especially for having just ran for that long!
